China´s New Silk Road Project – political background and motivation

On the 11th of October the member of the National Security Department, Adrian Tyszkiewicz, Phd, delivered a lecture as titled above during the annual meeting of Association Euro-Qualiflex (AEQ), [https://www.euro-qualiflex.com] held in Krakow, Poland. According to the topic, the One Belt, One Road project (OBOR), commonly known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) with its geopolitical background and a future prospect was the main issue.

The analysis was based on the Halford Mackinder's and the A. T. Mahan's geopolitical objectives as well as on the SWOT scheme and the Strafort's presumption of China as an island.

AEQ is a trade association representing the interests of European manufacturers of flexible metal parts used in different sectors like automotive industry, power plants, chemical and petrochemical industry, machinery construction, aviation, space ships, train & ship building and, last but not least, renewables.
