Education

A graduate of international relations at the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University. In 2012, he defended his doctoral dissertation devoted to the foreign policy of independent Ukraine.

Traineeships and scholarships

He lectured and did scientific internships at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO), Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Kyiv Institute of International Relations, University of Chicago, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul and Shanghai International Studies University in China.

Awards, distinctions

Winner of many competitions and prizes, including scholarships from the Polish Government, Scholarship Fund Ryoichi Sasakawa for Young Leaders (SYLFF), Own Scholarship Funds of the Jagiellonian University and a scholarship from the city of Krakow for particularly talented students and participants of doctoral studies.

Membership in scientific associations

In 2012-2013, Piotr Bajor, PhD, was the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists - the advisory body of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, whose tasks include identifying barriers to the career development of young scientists, preparing recommendations for instruments supporting their careers and bringing science funding mechanisms closer to young researchers. Previously, he was also a member of the Board and Vice-President of the National Representation of PhD Students in Poland and the President of the Doctoral Society of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
